repetition

what do you wanna talk about Samuel?
I've been focusing on reading and reading a few books. reading a few pages, 5 to 7 pages over and over again.
do you enjoy doing the repetition.
yeah I enjoy. but I realize it might take time for my dreams to come true
what do you mean?
like zig Ziglar said, repetition is the mother of learning. and I read that quote everyday. I have it as the background on my facebook page. so Everytime I log onto my facebook page I read that quote, repetition is the mother of learning. but it might take a couple years of repetition for me to get the information in the books and start applying it
is that a bad thing?
it's not a bad thing if you got money coming in
oh ok
but I can see why many people will give up
what will keep you from giving up
I've bought over fifty books on writing. I was looking for that one book that would get me to my dream but I was never persistent in reading the book but now I am
what changed?
the material I read wasn't sinking into my deeper mind. so it was of no use to me. if it doesn't sink into your deeper mind you're not going to apply it. and the only way it sticks into your deeper mind is through repetition.
you knew about repetition years ago. why didn't you put it into practice?
I don't know. I just didn't want to do the repetition or I knew about it but not deep down in my mind. cause if deep down in my mind I knew repetition was the mother of learning I would be doing the repetition. but I wasn't so I didn't believe It deep down in my subconscious.
but now you believe it
yeah now I believe it. I read the quote from zig Ziglar everyday. and I do the repetition with a few books that I read five to seven pages over and over again for three days then go to five to seven pages for the other three days of the week. I take sundays off.
do you really believe what you're doing will lead to success?
like zig Ziglar says repetition is the architect of accomplishment. I want the accomplishment of being a published author that's why I've bought all those books on writing but the accomplishments will not come without repetition.
do you think you'll keep on doing the repetitions for years and years.
depends
depends on what?
depends if money is not a problem
is money a problem for you
I don't wanna talk about that.

I'm doing repetition of reading the same couple pages of a few books

I've been doing the repetition of reading five pages of the secret of story by matt Bird over and over again. I feel like the information is going down into my deeper mind because of the repetition. hope i keep it up

I'm reading through the Breakthrough comedy writing system ebook. I'm going over it very slowly; reading and rereading the same couple pages over and over again. repetition is the mother of learning, the father of action which makes it the architect of accomplishment.

repetition of reading the same chapter in a book

Repetition is the mother of learning, the father of action, which makes it the architect of accomplishment.

Accomplishment is very easy. You just need years of repetition and you are guaranteed success.

what do you wanna do today samuel?
i've been doing lots of repetition with my reading
so what
i didn't use to to that before.
and what?
i used to want to finish reading a book on writing and get to the next book but now i realize my life is all about repetition. i repeatedly drink, eat, pee, shit, sleep, read mark 11:23, watch preachers preach on mark 11:23. so i think i should do the same with the books on writing
so you wanna read the same chapter of the book over and over again
yeah, not even the same chapter. the same 5 pages over and over again
then you'll never finish reading the book
but what i do read will sink down into my subconscious mind, which is the father of action
i think it's a good idea but you might not see results in three to four years.
as long i get my money every month i got nothing to worry about

Without repetition you don't learn

Repetition opens the front and back doors of my mind.  When I use repetition, I walk through the front door and deposit positive thoughts on the counter of my mind.  When other people use repetition, they sneak in the back door and deposit their unwanted messages.

the sun is doing it's repetition of coming up and down
i woke up and ate some bread. i did my repetition of eating. what did i eat 10 years ago today? i don't remember what i ate but i'm 100 percent sure that i ate something
yahoo, facebook, twitter and tv stations are doing their repetition of feeding mindless stories to the sheeples
repetition is how you build muscle
repetition is how you learn
so you have to repeat " i command 100,000,000 dollars to come to me. i command 100,000,000 dollar lotto jackpots to come to me"
you don't repeat that just once but hundreds if not thousands of times a day
turn off the mindless tv and the repetition of stories on facebook or dailymail.co.uk

do repetition of lottery visualizations
repetition of reading the same book on comedy writing

The tools available for you to use to develop abundant thinking — positive affirmations, vision boards, mind movies, motivational books, and the like — only ever work if you keep on applying them. They only work with repetition.
That’s why attracting abundance is a matter of repetition. In fact, isn’t that true for anything you want to learn in life? Whether it be a subject in school, a sport, dancing, singing, or anything else … the only way to become accomplished at it is through practice and repetition.

Affirmative Repetition

Persistent exposure to the same words, the same phrases, and the same ideas automatically rewires your brain and implants a new language into your mind, without you trying.
It's like getting a song stuck in your head, except it doesn't fade.
The formula is simple: the more repetition, the deeper the reprogramming.
Affirmative Repetition is a critical tool that your wealth reprogramming stick in your mind... and stay. Just like the catchy song you can't get out of your head.
As you move about your day, you will hear the same wealth principles on repeat, over and over again...
And your mind, especially your subconscious barriers, will be unable to stop them.

conversation with myself 13--Do this for fun

How are my hero's actions unfairly judged and misunderstood? (that gets audience to identify with your hero)
Most good stories are about one problem. The audience wants to care about one big problem and follow it to its natural climax. What is the one problem my story is about?
Story structure is just a list of the steps and missteps most people go through when solving a large problem in real life.
If you start by afflicting your hero with a large problem and work forward from there, you will find yourself rediscovering the most common structure from scratch
The way to get from scene to scene is not to ask, "what does the hero do next?" but rather, "What is the next step in the progression of this problem?"
Take two very different types of characters and force them to rely on each other in a unique way.

What is the worst possible thing that could happen specifically to your character? whatever is worse for your specific character, make that happen, and you'll build your plot

Identify the plan, Central Action, and Central question of your story
What does the protagonist want?
How does he plan to do it?
What is the central question of the story?
What and who is standing in his way?
Once you've got your initial plan, you need to be constantly blocking that plan, either with your antagonist, or the hero's own inner conflict, or outside forces beyong his control.
The hero's plan will change, constantly as he first takes the absolute minimal steps to achieve his goal, and that minimal effort inevitably fails. So then, often reluctantly, the hero has to escalate or change the plan

The whole point of drama (including romance and comedy) is that the hero's plan is constantly being thwarted: by the main antagonist, by any number of secondary and tertiary opponents, by the love interest, by the weather, or by the hero himself

We can only care about your hero, not your plot. If your hero is a generic everyman who exists just to introduce us to your world or dazzle us with story twists, then you'll sabotage yourself. Your story exists to serve your hero; Your hero cannot exist to serve your story.
Defeating a random snow witch is hard to do. Defeating your sister is hard to want to do. That's the difference between an obstacle and a conflict

What urges does the story satisfy? give the people what they crave.
It was hilarious. Laughter
It was hot.          lust
It rocked.           Adrenaline rush
It was gruesome. Blood lust
It kicked ass         power fantasy
It was so sweet.  romantic fantasy
It was devestating.  pathos
It was gorgeous.  beauty
It blew my mind.  cognitive dissonance

Ask yourself what experience you want your audience or reader to have in your own story, so you can build scenes that deliver on that promise.

Audiences hate it hate it when they're asked to identify with invulnerability
Making yourself vulnerable is heroic.

What makes my main character intersting?
I don't know. I haven't thought about any main character. I've just been having conversations with myself.
Now think about it. What makes your main character interesting, intriguing or unique?
I think my character is unique in that he was born in heaven and came down to earth not to save humans but to rule over them. But humans don't want angels to rule over them. They want another man to rule over them
What does my character represent?
My character is a metaphor for power. He came down from heaven with all his power. But humans have rejected devine power and instead focus on the power of money and politics
What character would be best for the story I want to tell?
I don't know what story I want to tell. I've just been having written conversations with myself, I would say, as a form of psychoanalysis. I don't think i've come up with ideas for stories from the conversations with myself
What character would best embody the virtues or ideals I want my story to represent?
I think an angel come down from heaven to rule the earth would represent the ideal power. Not power of money or politics or fame but angelic power.
What metaphor do I want to instill in my reader's subconscious?
I want my readers subconscious to come to the realization that having money is not real power but a personal conection with God gives real power.
How are my hero's actions unfairly judged or misunderstood?
This angels come down to earth to rule over humans. He heals them. He performs miracles for them if they will vote for him for president of the USA but his oponnent pounces on that. He tells the people this angel is bying their votes and why would they vote for angel? if he's a real angel why is he trying to be president over humans? why is he not in heaven?
What is the one problem my story is about?
My story is about this angel struggling to get humans to trust him to change their lives as their president. He performs miracles for them but that makes them trust him less. He turns Africa into Europe but blacks resent him for that.
What list of steps and missteps would the hero go through to solve his problem?
My hero, the angel, comes down to earth. He wants to rule over earth as president of the USA for all eternity. He performs miracles for people but they mistrusts him more. He feeds the poor in Africa and turns Africa into a superpower comparable to Europe and America but that makes Americans resents him. They tell him go be president of united Africa. He stops hurricanes from hitting the united states but people resent him more. He gets tired of doing miracles so he tries to go back to heaven but he can't go back to heaven. God has banished him to earth for all eternity.

How are my hero's actions unfairly judged and misunderstood?
I don't know
Come on now. Come up with something. You can't just have a conversation with yourself, you got to answer specific story related questions if you want to get published.
I know you're right, but I can't think of nothing right now.
Think of something. Think of multiple things.
okay unfairly judged or misunderstood. Unfairly judged or misunderstood. My hero overheard a plan to assisinate his family but when he went back home to explain it to his father, no one believes him.
My hero tried to cook A good meal for his pregnant wife but she ended up sick and almost lost the baby
My hero tried to save her friend from being gang raped but she was kidnapped and her friend got killed
Come up with more ideas. How are my hero's actions unfairly judged and misunderstood?
I don't know maybe I should move to the next question.
Most good stories are about one problem. The audience wants to care about one big problem and follow it to its natural climax. What is the one problem your story is about?
The one problem my story is about is finding out who killed the president's daughter.
The one problem my story is about is, stopping a killer before he kills again.
The one problem my story is about is, prosecuting the president for killing his wife, the first lady.
The one problem my story is about is,
Okay okay pick one and let's build for there.
The one problem my story is about is finding out who killed the president's daughter.
What is the next step in the progression of this problem?
Investagator Larry found out that one of the president's son had something to do with her sister's murder.
What is the next step in the progression of this problem?
The next step is to interview the son
What is the next step in the progression of this problem?
Larry tries to interview the son but the president forbids him from interviewing the son
What is the next step in the progression of this problem?
Larry tries to get a judge to give him a search warrant to search the son's room in the white house
What is the next step in the progression of this problem?
But the judge refuses to give a search warrant to search the son's room at the white house
What is the next step in the progression of this problem?
Larry sneaks into the son's room at the white house and gets caught by secret service.
What is the next step in the progression of this problem
Larry is barred from entering the white house.
What would be hard for larry to want to do
I don't know. If Larry found out that his daughter killed the president's daughter it would be hard for larry to do his job and send his daughter to prison. I would be hard to want to do the right thing.
how do I arrive at the moment larry finds out his daughter is the culprit?
I got to keep asking questions and answering it
What is the next step in the progression of this problem
What is the problem exactly and how is larry looking at both his son and his daughter as the murderer?

conversation with myself 12

Hello samuel, what do you wanna talk about today?
i haven't been writing the last few days. it's been four days since i wrote actually
why is that?
because i feel all this having a conversation with myself thing is a big waste of time
i thought you were doing it for fun
i was doing it for fun but i used to play chess for fun but i never got better so i quit
so you wanna quit writing just because a few days passed and you're not a bestselling author already
yeah.
so what keeps you saying what you want? you've been saying the same things for almost two years. a year and 11 months actually? why do you keep doing it?
because i believe in God's word i will have what i say. even though i don't see what i say come to pass right away. i believe in the power of my words
can you do the same with your writing? even though you don't see a bestselling novel the first month or first year of having a conversation with yourself, you can keep doing it and have faith that your bestselling novel is right around the corner
yeah but that's the thing. even if i write a novel, which might take years to do, it may not even sell a lot of copies.
then focus on your songwriting. come up with declarations for choruses
yeah i was doing that but came up with a lot of shit.
but i thought you were doing it for fun.
i was doing it for fun
so you think after a few days of coming up with declarations for choruses if you don't come up with a great chorus that's gonna get your a number 1 on the billboard hot 100 it's all in vain?
yeah i should have my great idea for a chorus already
that's not how it works. it might take years of coming up with shit choruses. shit declarations before that one idea comes to you.
man i don't wanna wait years
so what do you wanna do instead?
i don't know. i want to have success but most of the time i don't feel like doing the work that will bring me the success.
that's because you have too much expectations of the work you do. just do it for fun
what fun is it doing a bunch of exercises and all my answers are shit. feels like i'll never get better.
keep on doing it man. you'll get there. never give up. never surrender

conversation with myself 11

so what do you wanna talk about samuel?
my book has arrived
what book?
the book "Break into Fiction: 11 steps to building a powerful story"
so you started reading through it
yeah i've started reading through it. There are lots of questions in it and if you answer them then you will have material for a novel
have you started to answer the questions
no i haven't started to answer the questions. i'm just reading through the book right now.
oh ok
it's a good book. i think it can help with my goal of being a published author.
and if it doesn't help
if it doesn't help then i will keep on speaking words of faith
is that the only book you're reading through right now?
i'm reading through a few other books on amazon kindle.
do you think you're any closer to getting published?
i don't know. i'm just having fun with the conversation with myself. i haven't seen results but i continue to have the conversations with myself
but it seems like it's all in vain
it seems like it's in vain but i will continue to have the conversations with myself. it worked for David Morrell. it might work for me

conversation with myself 10

what do you wanna talk about samuel?
i'm worried about my future
why are you worried about your future?
i'm worried about my financial future?
what about your financial future are you worried about?
both my parents are in their 60's. so they might be gone anytime. i'm in my 30's but i have to do low paying jobs. so my financial future looks bleak
you don't believe in Mark 11:23? if you really believed mark 11:23 you wouldn't say my financial future looks bleak
yeah i'm all for speaking wealth. but sometimes you have to face the reality and the reality is unless someone i don't know gives me a multi million dollar building or gives me millions in cash or stocks then i don't know about my financial future if both my parents were to die.
then go back to school
i tried school. i wanted to be a doctor. but i'm not that bright. i didn't do well in my classes. so i gave up on school
then just accept what your life is like
i don't accept what my life is like. i want my financial future to get better. i want millions
how the well you gonna get millions
i speak wealth everyday. i say i have won the megamillions and powerball everytime i'm in the bathroom.
but nothing has come from your words
nothing's come from my words but i still believe in the power of words
how can you still believe in the power of words when you've been saying the same thing for two years and it hasn't come to pass
it's not two years yet. it'll be two years next month on the 20th.
so next month on the 20th it'll be two years since you been speaking wealth everyday. so where are your results.
my results are coming. i'll have what i say
i hope for your financial future sake that you'll have what you say if not it doesn't look good for you

Conversation with myself 9

what do you wanna talk about to day Samuel?
I've been working through the book Break into fiction. but i don't think i want to keep answering the questions.
why not
it's no fun
but answering those questions can lead you to writing a novel. something you've always wanted to do.
i don't know. it's no fun to me and i don't wanna do it.
then do what you find fun to do
i don't know. the only writing exercise i find fun to do is the having a conversation with myself exercise. besides that all other writing exercises are really boring to me and i don't wanna do them
then you'll never make it as a writer
maybe not but i will keep having the conversation with myself
can't you just force yourself to answer a few questions withing getting bored
but answering those questions and coming up with shit answers is very boring and after a few days i wanna quit.
don't quit. keep going
but it's really boring. I don't wanna answer a bunch of boring questions and come up with shit answers.
so how you gonna become a published author if you don't want to do the writing exercises.
i'm doing the having a conversation with myself exercise. that exercise is not boring to me and i always come back to it.
then force yourself to answer the questions in that book, "Break into Fiction"
but those questions are super boring to answer and my answers are all shit anyways
i don't know what to tell you. if you don't do the work, you don't get the reward
how can i do the work when it's so boring and i have no motivation to do it.
ok good luck to you

conversation with myself 8

what do you wanna talk about today samuel
i read a lot of crime stories
and?
and i wanted to talk about it
what about it? what kind of crime stories do you  like to read
i like to read black on white crime stories on Newnation.org i also like to watch colin flaherty on Minds.com sometimes
okay. why do you read about black on white crime stories.
i don't know. i've been doing it for years. there's a lot of black on black crime but i don't read those stories but i like to read about the black on white crime
are you happy about the black on white crime
no i'm not happy about it. but there's nothing i can do to stop it.
ok.
i remember back years ago, maybe in 2014, i read a crime stories about a white man who was killed by a black employee at a party city store in Jackson mississipi. i think.
what stood out from that story.
it was a comment i read
what did the comment say
so i'm guessing a black lady said in the comment "it's a sad day when somebody getting murdered becomes a race thing"
i don't see where you're going with this
this white man commented this "it is a race thing. Do you have any conception of the Holocaust black on white crime raging out there?"
you think that's true? there's a holocaust of black on white crime raging out there in the USA?
i don't know. i'm always reading another black on white murder story on Newnation.org
so what do you wanna do about it?
nothing i can do to stop it.
than stop reading about it
i've been reading about black on white crime for so long i don't know if i ca stop
it's just a waste of time. focus instead on writing your hit song or your bestselling novel
maybe that's one of the reason i like reading about all this black on white crime
what reason is that?
at least if i don't achieve my goals of writing a new york times bestseller or winning the lotto or writing a number 1 hit billboard hot 100 song, i can say i didn't get killed like this motherfucker on newnation.org
what does one have to do with the other
well i have something to be thankful for even if i don't achieve my dreams
ok.ok man. keep on reading about this black on white crime then
ok i will

conversations with myself 7

what do you wanna do today samuel?
i wanna come up with declarations for choruses for hit songs
you need declaration for choruses?
yeah a lot of hit songs have a declaration in the chorus. not all hit songs but a lot.
ok. so what declaration do you have in mind
the Usher Declaration in "DJ got us falling in love" is very good.
how does it go
it goes
Baby tonight, the DJ got us falling in love again
yeah Baby tonight, the DJ got us fallin in love again
so dance, dance, like it's the last last night of your life life
go get you right
so baby tonight, the DJ got us falling in love again

very good declaration. do you have a declaration as good as this
i could come up with some shit. but they would be shit
it's okay. remember you're just doing this for fun
yeah okay. so off the top of my head
baby you know, i'll make love to you right again
is that a parody of DJ got us fallin in love
no it's just the first thing off the top of my head
oh ok. i think it's alright. or you could say baby, i'll make love to you right again
yeah that's even better
so you know what declaration you wanna make in the chorus
it doesn't sound like a good universal declaration.
a lot of declarations you come up with will be shit. 99 percent of them will be shit. but that 1 percent great declaration could see you topping the billboard hot 100.
so i better get going coming up with shit declarations.

Conversation with myself 6

what do you wanna talk about today samuel
my reluctance, my resistance to doing the work to become a novelist
how so
i just read the chapter on character from the book "Break into Fiction: 11 steps to building a powerful story." there were a lot of questions in that chapter. 20 questions but i don't feel like answering them cause i know my answers would be shit.
just answer the questions for fun
what fun is answering a bunch of questions and coming up with shit answers
it's fun if you are not expecting results from it. you're just doing it to have fun. not expecting riches from it
ok. i'll start doing it
so what is the first question?
1. the first question is what two or three adjectives best define this character?
ok so what is your answer.
that's the thing i don't have any ideas for a character in mind
so what two or three adjectives best define this character? just make something up man. remember, you're doing this for fun
two or three adjectives that best define this character is: Lonely killer and loving dad.
lonely killer and loving dad huh
yeah that's the best i could do.
nah i think it's okay. so what is the next question
2. the next question is: What does this character believe about his or her everyday world?
so what is your answer to the question
i haven't really thought about the character, so i don't know
come on man you're just doing this for fun. come up with shit answers but have fun. what does this character believe about his or her everyday world?
Larry Believes his everyday world is very dangerous. he's a trained killer and is worried he might be found out and the bad guys might start attacking him and his family
see that wasn't so hard was it.
yeah but i'm still not sure if my answers will lead to anything
your answers don't have to lead to anything, you're just having fun remember
what's so fun out of answering of bunch of questions and getting nothing out of it.
it's fun because you're just answering the questions to have a good time. you don't care about results. if you care too much about results you might give up. so what is the next question
3. the next question is: Is the character content with his or her everyday world at the opening of the story? why or why not?
so what is your answer
Larry is content about his everyday world because he gets paid a lot of money to be a hired killer and he's so good at his job he's never failed once to kill his target.
ok very good. that wasn't so hard was it. so what is the next question
4. The next question is: what would this character say is his or her strength?
so what is your answer.
larry would say his strength is being a great father and his proficiency with killing targets.
good good. continue to answer the questions for fun. what's the next question.
5. the next question is: what would this character say is his or her weakness?
your answer
Larry would say his weakness is wanting to bed as many beautiful women as possible
ok you've answered five questions now. that wasn't so hard was it
yeah but i don't think what i've come up with is of any use.
but you're just doing it for fun remember
i used to play chess for fun. that lead to nothing so i stopped playing chess. i'm doing this for fun but if i come to a point where i think answering all those question will lead to nothing i may quit
ok you can quit whenever you want if you stop having fun. but remember just having fun answering the questions. don't think about results
ok. but there are 15 more questions. i think i wanna  stop at five. maybe pick it up back later on
ok do whatever you want.

1/19/2019

so what is question number 6.
6. question number 6 is: what do other story character's see as this character's strength?
jerome sees Larry unconditional love for his daughter as his greatest strength
that's not too bad.
it feels bad to me. what i'm coming up will not lead to a bestselling novel
you shouldn't say that because you'll have what you say. instead say i will answer the questions and get my novel written.
you're right. i should speak faith.
so what is the next question?
7. questions number 7 is: what do other story characters see as this character's weakness?
jerome sees larry's nonstop chasing after beautiful women as his greatest weakness.
good stuff. you seem to be enjoying answering those questions.
i would enjoy it even more if there was a guarantee i would write a bestselling novel.
so what is the next question?
8. question number 8 is: if this character's occupation influences the story in a significant way,  what is his or her occupation and how does he or she feel about it?
so what is your answer
Larry occupation of being a trained killer is a big part of the story. when he's given a mission to kill someone he admires. he tries to back out of it then he becomes the target of hired killers and they're going after his daughter. that's when all hell breaks loose. larry vows to take down the organisation that trained him.
that was not bad. you're pretty good at this stuff
i'm just answering a bunch of questions. don't really know if it will lead to a bestselling novel.
ok just have fun doing it. what is the next question
9. question number 9 is: How are you going to create (show) reader sympathy for this character in the opening of your story?
so what is your answer?
i'm not sure about that question. larry is a killer. but deep down he's a good guy. he's in a store with his daughter and the store gets robbed. the robbers holding his daughter hostage and have a gun pointed at the clerk. he kills the robbers and head out of the store before the police arrives.
that's not showing reader sympathy. that's showing bloodlust
i don't know man. i don't know how to show reader sympathy.
what is the next question?
10. question number 10 is: what is lacking internally for this character, even if he or she is not aware of it?
so what is your answer
i don't know maybe larry's seeing women as objects for his sexual gratification.
that's not good enough. come up with something else
i don't know man. i did the best i could.

how you doing today samuel
i'm doing good
what do you wanna do today
i wanted to go over the book "song Maps" by Simon Hawkins
oh you liked that book
yeah i have it in my Amazon kindle but i haven't read from it a while back. but i have memorized a few of the questions from one of the song maps. there are several song maps. i thought i would just work through one of them until i get a great song out of it.
ok what question do you wanna work through
oh just the question for the chorus, the Declaration i wanna make in the chorus is?
so you have to make a declaration in the chorus
there are lots of songs that make declarations in the chorus not all songs but some of the most popular songs do
for example?
for example, want to want me by Jason Derulo
girl you're the one i want to want me
and if you want me girl you got me
there's nothing i, no, i wouldn't do. i wouldn't do
just to get up next to you (repeat chorus)

that's just one example lots of other songs make declarations in the chorus
so you think if you come up with a great declaration you'll have a great chorus and potentially a chart topper on the billboard hot 100
yeah and fans that will buy my music and money rolling in
but you thought the same thing when you started trading forex in 2008. you were thinking millions. you were thinking of making billions in the forex and futures market but all that happened is you lost your 500 dollar accounts that you funded with your broker Amp Futures.
yeah i lost a lot of 500 dollar accounts at amp futures but that has nothing to do with coming with declarations
it's the same thing. you think it's gonna make you rich but you'll just end up dissapointed just like you were dissapointed with trading Forex and futures
yeah i lost a lot of money pursuing riches in forex and futures trading but i don't regret it. i went after my dream of riches. i didn't get the riches in trading but if i were to come up with a great declaration i could get riches in having a hit song
ok what are some declarations in your mind right now
my mind is blank right now and there's lots of doubts in my mind telling me i'll never write a novel or screenplay. i'll never write a hit song.
but you don't believe that voice in your head
no i don't believe that voice. and i'm writing everyday so i'm a writer. granted what i write in the conversations i have with myself may never lead to a novel but i'm a writer and writers write
so what are some declarations in your mind right now
i'll love you right this time
that could make a good song
yeah lets see the question you need to ask for the first verse taken from song maps by simon hawkings is, the problem that prompts the burst of emotion that is declared in the chorus is?
what burst of emotions will you declare in the chorus
i could say i'll love you right this time
my love wasn't yours last time
i really did mess it up
i was immature
but just give me another chance
i'll love you right this time

that song really sucks
hey it's the best i could do
but it sucks compared to the jason derulo song's you love to listen to, this song sucks
maybe i need to come up with the sucky songs first before the Christ inside of me gives me ideas for a great declaration for a great chorus
maybe. what problem would prompt the burst of emotion declared in the chorus you just came up with
i don't know. but let me see
you showed me the videos on our wedding it
you saw me kissing your sister
but i swear she tricked me by getting me drunk

that's shit sucks
why do you say everything i write sucks
cause it does
yeah but i'm just having fun
you think writing the crap you just wrote is fun
yeah it's fun. i have no expectation of immediate success. i'm really to have fun with the exercise for months and years before get that one declaration that could be a number 1 on the billbaord hot 100.
you'll never get a hit on the billboard hot 100
maybe i will maybe i won't. i don't know. but right now i'm just having fun doing writing exercise.
so you like doing the exercise out of that book "song Maps" by simon hawkins
yeah i like it. when i'm in the shower i analyze hit song with song maps
so you like answering those questions.
yeah i just do it for fun
keep on doing it man
yeah i will
you think you could have fun answering the questions in the book "Break into Fiction"
yeah that book has  lot of questions. i don't know. there are so much more questions to answer to get to a nover or screenplay then for a song. for a song i just need a good or great declaration for a chorus.then the problem for the first verse. then the natural authentic response to the emotion that is declared in the chorus for the second verse. but in novel writing i need so much more. and it's exhausting
do it for fun anyways
yeah i will
ok bye

conversation with myself 4

what's going on today samuel
not much
what do you wanna talk about today
i just don't fee like reading the writing books i have on Amazon kindle
you have a lot of those books
yeah i bought a lot of them cause i thought i wanted to be a writer
but you realized you just wanna have fun?
yeah i just wanna have fun and those books are boring to read
if you don't read those book how will you ever achieve your dream of becoming a novelist
i don't know. i just wanna have fun. i don't really want to be a novelist
are you having fun right now, with this conversation you're having with yourself
yeah i'm having fun but i don't know if it will lead to a written novel
but you enjoy doing the conversation with yourself
yeah i enjoy it. pretty much the only writing exercise i enjoy doing. but i feel like it's not enough.
what do you mean it's not enough?
i feel like it's not gonna lead to nothing. it's just a big waste of time
you think having the conversation with yourself is a big waste of time
yeah i think so.
why do you think so.
cause the things i've written is not novel writing material.
but you're having fun. thought that was the most important thing for you
yeah it's very important to have fun but i wanna do something that will lead me to a novel, even if it's not a bestselling novel
but you don't wanna do the writing exercises
no i don't wanna do em. because they're not fun to do.
then you'll probably never write a novel yourself
what about songwriting. when i'm in the shower i analyze hit songs.
which hit song do you analyze.
Jason Derulo songs. and other artists.
how do you go about analyzing the songs
first i ask the question, the declaration i wanna make in the chorus is?
so the chorus is all about a declaration.
yeah that's one type of chorus. there are other types but that's the type i'm working through right now.
so can you try to come up with some declarations right now. just for fun of course. if it's not fun you can quit.
okay i can try.
i wanna make love to you while your brother watches
that's a pretty fucked up declaration
yeah i'm just doing it for fun
what else do you got?
i'm gonna throw you out of my house if you don't behave.
that's not a very universal declaration. and who is this song for anyways. what else do you got?
girl, i never wanna see you naked
whoa. you never wanna see your girl naked. are you gay or something.
not gay. just coming up with declarations for choruses of potential songs.
OK. what else you got
i'm gonna tear your heart apart and leave you tonight
whoa. that's pretty sick
yeah that's just something i came up with right off the top of my head.
what else do you got?
baby i want to never leave this bed
you can't stay in bed all day
I know. it's just another declaration i came up with right off the top of my head.
what else do you got
i've ran out of ideas.
no you haven't. you write down the first thing off the time of your head
ok. honey, i no longer want you be my baby
or you could just saying i'm leaving you baby
yeah that could work to
so anything else you wanna write.
i don't know. right off the top of my head. it's basically empty.
your head is not empty. you just don't wanna keep doing the exercise cause you think what you've come up with is shit. so you wanna quit
yeah you're right. the declarations i've come up with are shit. why should i keep doing this exercise when everything i come up with is shit. it's not leading me to a billboard chart topper. just shit declarations.
just do it for fun man. do it for fun. and you will come up with majority shit. but that one declaration you come up with a few months from now could be your ticket to a chart topper on the billboard hot 100
i don't know. i'll try to keep doing it but there is no guarantee i will

conversation with myself 3

Hello samuel
hello, the God inside of me
what do you wanna talk about today?
i'm not sure. maybe we could just chat
what do you wanna chat about
where do you see me in ten years? Am i wealthy beyong my wildest dreams?
i don't know where do you see yourself?
but you are the God inside of me. you can see the future can't you?
you create your own future with your thoughts and what you say
but i've been saying the same thing for almost two years and what i've been saying hasn't come to pass
so you saying you want to quit?
i can't quit. there is nothing else i can do
so you only believe in Mark 11:23, you shall have whatsoever you say, because you have failed at everything else
yeah of course. at one point i wanted to be a doctor. a Neurosurgeon but i didn't do well in my science classes. but if i did do well in my classes and i went to med school and became a doctor, i don't think i would believe in you can have what you say. because i would be more focused on doing my job
so you only believe in God cause you failed to achieve your goal?
that's one reason. and i have a childlike faith in the words of the bible. i read numbers 14:28 at first. i believed it. then came across mark 11:23. i believed it then came across luke 17:6. i believed it.
but nothing's come from you putting your believe and faith in the word of the bible
i've seen some things i've said come to pass
like what
i rather not say. but i spoke over some tennis players and they became very good
but what you've spoken over yourself hasn't happened.
no it hasn't.
how long can you keep going, how long can you keep believing in the words of the bible before you give up, before you say the bible is a bunch of lies.
i think a decade or two
20 years
yeah 20 years
you would be willing to speak the same words everyday for 20 years just to see if Mark 11:23 is true
yeah i would. there is not much else i can do. i've pretty much failed at everything else i've tried to do. so i  hope the word of God will not failed me. i will have what i say.
good luck to you. so how is your novel writing going
i've having the written conversation with myself everyday. so i am writing everyday. cause it's fun. but i don't think the things i'm writing are material for a novel.
so what can you do to start coming up with material for your novel
that's the thing. i don't want to do anything to come up with material for novel
i thought you wanted to be a writer
i thought that myself but i realized from having conversations with myself that i just wanna have fun. when it comes to actually doing writing exercises i don't wanna do em
so you wanna be a writer but you don't wanna write
i am writing everyday. i am having the written conversation with myself
but that not leading to any material for a novel
i know.
so the conversation with yourself, you're all for it. but doing fiction writing exercises, that's a no no
it's just not fun to do
so you don't wanna to be a writer, you just wanna have fun
yeah
then keep on having a conversation with yourself. have fun. but don't complain when you never get a novel out of the conversation with yourself
David Morrell's talk about how he used the conversation with himself to write his novel
so maybe you can do the same
maybe but it's not fun.
forget about having fun for a minute. could you spend 15 to 30 minutes doing fiction writing exercises even though you know they wouldn't be fun.
i could start but i don't know if i would stick with it for months for years
cause if it's not fun you'll give up right?
yeah right
then there is no hope of you ever writing a novel
maybe that's a good thing. most novel are not bestsellers anyway. writers barely make any money. some make a lot of money but most barely make any money.

conversation with myself 2

What do you wanna talk about samuel?
I don't really want to be a writer. I just wanna have fun
Then why did you buy all those writing books on kindle.
Because I thought I wanted to be a writer
But now you realize you don't really want to be a writer
Writing is a lot of work and I realize from reading a few of the written conversations i've had with myself, that I just wanna have fun. I don't really want to do the work required to be a writer.
Can you find a way to make doing the work required fun.
I just bought the paper back of the book Breaking into fiction like two minutes ago. I also have it on kindle but I stopped reading it. Lots of questions to answer in that book that will supposedly leads to writing your own novel. But I don't really want to answer all those questions
Than why did you buy that book on paper back.
I just realize that book, break into fiction, I just like Matt bird's book, the secrets of story
How are they alike
They have a bunch of questions that if you answer will lead you to a novel or a screenplay supposedly. But I don't know. that doesn't sound like fun to me answering a bunch of questions
Why is the conversation with yourself fun to you?
What do you mean
You enjoy having the conversation with yourself. So why is it fun to you. Why do you keep coming back to that exercise
Because it's fun to me. And I learn lots about myself in the process of having a conversation with myself. But I don't know if it will lead to me writing a book.
Why do you keep coming back to do the exercise of having a conversation with yourself?
Because I enjoy it. And i'm never stuck. If I am then I stop the conversation with myself. But I am barely ever stuck with having a conversation with myself
Is that why you don't want to answer the questions in matt bird's book the secret of story? or the book break into fiction? you think you'll get stuck answering the questions so you just don't bother answering the questions
Maybe I don't know. I never get stuck with the conversation with myself. That's why I keep on doing it. Plus it's a lot of fun and I learn a lot about myself
What if you answered the questions in Matt Bird's book, the secret of story or you answered the questions in the book Break Into Fiction but didn't get stuck?
I will get stuck I don't know the answer to those questions.
What if you didn't get stuck though
I probably would spend the time to answer the questions
What if you answwer the questions the way you do the conversation with yourself?
How's that?
By writing the first thing that comes to mind
Than I will come up with a lot of shit.
So what, you came up with some shit written conversations with yourself
Yeah I have come up with some shit. But I don't even bother to read back over them.
But you have come up with some good stuff also.
Yeah i've come up with some good conversation with myself and I read back over them and I learn a lot about myself. That's how I learned I didn't really want to be a writer. I just wanted to have fun.
Then make answering the questions fun
But what fun is in answering questions and getting stuck or coming up with shit
You won't get stuck if you write down the first thing that come to mind but you will come up with a lot of shit but some of the things you come up with might also be very very good. Just like some of the written conversations you've had with yourself
I don't know. Answering a bunch of questions doesn't sound fun to me. I just wanna have fun.
Answering the questions can be fun just like having a conversation with yourself if you treat the questions as a sort of conversation with yourself.
I don't know it still doesn't sound fun to me.
then do what is fun. Just continue to have a conversation with yourself. You are writing. So you are a writer.
But the stuff I come up with is not leading me to a story.
That's why you wanna answer the questions in Matt Bird's book, secret of story and the book Break into Fiction. Those questions will lead you to a story. Granted it will lead you to a lot of shit stories but some of the stories you come up with if you don't give up will be good. Some will be great. Just like the written conversations with yourself
I'll give it a try. like I said I just ordered the book Break into fiction. I will get it in a week or two.
good. Once you get, start answering the questions. Continue to have written conversations with yourself and continue to answer the questions. YOU WILL COME UP WITH SHIT. A LOT OF SHIT. BUT SOME OF WHAT YOU COME UP WILL BE GOOD. Just like your written conversatiosn with yourself
I don't wanna do it if i'm gonna come up with shit
But you have the written conversation with yourself and some of the conversations are shit.
But I enjoy doing that. I dont think I will enjoy answering a bunch of questions and coming up with shit answers.
Then don't do it. if it's not fun to you don't do it.
That what I am doing. I returned the book on comedy writing because doing the exercises in the book doesn't sound fun to me. So I stopped.
You just wanna have fun right
Yeah I just wanna have fun. And I don't think answering a bunch of questions is fun.
You can make it fun. If you do it real fast
But I will just come up with a bunch of shit answers
But it will be fun. And that's what you want to have fun.
I don't know. Maybe it won't be as fun as having a conversation with myself.
But it will be fun. Just answer the questions real fast
I will come up with a lot of shit answers
so what you're just having fun. So don't worry about shit answers
Seems like it's just a waste of time
Is having a written conversation with yourself a waste of time
It's a waste of time because what i'm writing will not lead to a novel or screenplay. But it's not a waste of time because I enjoy doing it. I'm having fun
Then do the same thing with answering the questions.

Conversation wtih myself exercise

I have been having conversations with myself. i learned to do that from David Morrell's book "Lessons from a lifetime of writing"

so what do you wanna do today samuel?
i'm really feeling down today
How come?
i was talking to my lotto ticket.
you talk to your lotto ticket? Why?
i read luke 17:6 in the bible. it says you can talk to a tree and it will obey you. i thought i could apply it to my life. i thought i could talk to a lotto ticket and it would obey me
so what happen
the lotto ticket didn't obey me. i didn't win
maybe you got to keep talking to your lotto tickets for months or years before it happens
maybe you are right. i don't know. but i am just feeling really down.
why are you feeling down?
i just want to have the millions already. i have been speaking wealth over myself for almost two years and i still don't see any results of my words
maybe you'll never get results from your words. maybe the bible is a bunch of lies.
maybe you're right. but i will keep on believing the words of the bible
so you gonna keep on talking to lotto tickets once you buy them
yes i will keep on talking to my lotto ticket.
and if it never obeys you? if you never win the lotto? what will you do
i don't know. i'm putting all my faith in the word of God with no guarantee of any result. but i don't know what else to do. i failed at school. i failed at working a regular job. i failed at trading forex and futures. all i have left to believe in is the bible.
but what if the bible is a bunch of lies.
then my future is pretty fucked
